Stòras Uibhist are delighted to have been succesful in our grant application for funding towards a South Uist Estates Energy options study. We hope to appoint consultants shortly following an open tendering procedure.
The former Stòras Uibhist Office Askernish is offered for sale. Only the building footprint will be sold.
The building is in need of demolition. Access is limited as it falls within the property boundary of an existing private residence.

At Community Land Scotland’s annual conference, SnBM director Lorne Macleod hosted Roseanna Cunningham MPSP, Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform. As many will know Lorne is also Chair of Community Land Scotland, so SnBM and Storas Uibhist have a seat at the top table when it comes to Land Reform, lobbying and policy development.
