Unfortunately, due to the bad weather forecast for this Saturday (3rd December), the planned Community Celebrations for the 5th anniversary of the buy-out will be postponed.
We hope to hold the event in the near future and will advertise as soon as we have confirmed an alternative date.
A reminder there will be a public meeting for the Lochboisdale Regeneration Project at Gerinish Taigh Ceilidh tomorrow night (Thursday 24th November) at 7.30pm.
This is an opportunity for community members outwith the Lochboisdale area to come and discuss the project and hear an update on the current developments.

To mark the 5th Anniversary of the community buyout of the South Uist Estate, there will be a community celebration on Saturday 3rd December 2011.
Celebrations will begin with a turf-cutting ceremony at 2pm at the site for the Lochcarnan access track.
From 5pm there will be a bonfire, fireworks and barbecue at Talla an Iochdar followed by a ceilidh dance in the hall from 7pm.

Coast Hebrides will be holding a public meeting on Wednesday 23rd November in Talla an Iochdar to present the results of the South Ford Hydrodynamic Study.
This is a public consultation event and there will be the opportunity to ask questions and make comments about the Study.
